I have the same question - kind of.

I work with Actuality Media (www.actualitymedia.com) - we take media students to developing countries to produce short documentaries about local changemakers.

We have outreaches in the city of Cartagena, Colombia, in the city of Granada, Nicaragua, and in the city of Antigua, Guatemala. Any information you could send me on individual farmers, associations, etc. in those areas would be great.

Keep up the good work.

Good Day to you
My name is Kiddo Naidoo, born and living in South Africa.
I am currently involved in exporting organic fertilizer worldwide.
I got interested in organic farming methods awhile back, because it concerned me about the food we eat, the contamination of our precious commodity, water, the level of and the fast spreading of sicknesses and diseases, the change of climate and weather patterns and the damage to the 'Ozone layer and global warming. please forward me your email address, so I can forward you the full details on the organic products that I have available. opportunity158@yahoo.com
I look forward to hearing from you.
Like you say:
Food for the earth, food the animals and food for the people.
Warm regards

Tienen modelos exitosos a nivel mundial?
gracias

Hi Ross- I am trying to do some research on organic fruit and vegetable production for domestic consumption in Colombia. If you have any tips of individual farmers, associations, etc. that are involved in this, it would be much appreciated. Good luck with your work! Best, Brian

I'm the lucky person who gets to work with Equal Exchange's Methodist partners in the United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) Coffee Project and my thanks to the many churches, offices, organizations and individuals who participate!

It is not always easy to wrap our heads around the effects of the many choices we are faced with everyday and there can be many obstacles to changing those choices to align more with our beliefs, but our customers don't let that stop them! It is the dedicated volunteer, the one passionate educator and the persistent student who carries the voices and stories of our farmer partners to grow the Fair Trade movement in a very real and meaningful way. We are so proud to be a part of connecting communities all around the world.

Just like Roz states, each 'small way' that we choose to support something different that cares for people, the planet and the food system it creates change and when we all join together it creates BIG change.

If you want to learn more about Equal Exchange's Interfaith Program and our 11 different partnerships visit the EE website.

Our congregation (Gresham United Methodist Church) supports the work that Equal Exchange and UMCOR do through the co-op system. When I read these success stories, I feel very happy to know that in some small way our church is participating in making this happen. Thank you, EE! Your products are wonderful and the pricing is fair for all concerned.
