<description>Succinct and clear about the connection between &quot;buy local&quot; and Fair Trade -- this is exactly how I came to work at Equal Exchange through first becoming involved in my neighborhood farmers market and then deciding to seek a livelihood that connected to the values of having a relationship with the farmers who grow our food, having access to healthy and tasty food as a consumer, and working to take care of these interests as well as taking care of the planet by supporting small scale farmers in our community.

For the time being, my calling is not to be a farmer myself so I have found a way to make my living and make a difference by working on behalf of global small scale farmers and, more recently, US farmers by promoting our healthy snack line of almonds, pecans, and dried cranberries.

We&#039;re all in this together -- let&#039;s keep on fighting the good fight!
